Congratulations to Pete & Paula Saulnier of Livermore, CA for being voted PTCSV Cruiser of the Month for December 2002.
"Paula and I are new to the PT world. We had seen quite a few PT's around and always admired the design. Back in July our Chrysler Concorde was in the shop for a couple of days and we got an Inferno Red PT as a loaner. Discovered then what a fun car it is to drive. Despite what I had heard about PT's lacking power it climbed the Sunol grade everyday going to work, just fine. Well after that experience and knowing that we would be needing another car soon we made three trips back to the dealer, test driving, looking around, even checked out some other models but decided on the PT. The next choice was the color. We had noticed that the Inferno Red attracted a lot of attention but we just wanted something suttle so we could blend in with other cars on the road. Tough decision, we actually liked all the colors that were available. Then we saw the then un-named Goldie. We thought she looked kind of lonely, a color that would blend in with other cars on the road, kind of the ugly duckling, and thought that maybe she would like a home. As you folks have noticed the only concession we made to change her from stock was the fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror.
Little did we know about the existence of PT clubs when we brought her home,
but shortly after we were at the Hot August Niles Car Show looking around
and suddenly "WOW look at all those PT's and they're in a club"!!!
Well Pete attended his first club meeting that night and was all excited about
the PTCSV. We never realized what fun lay ahead of us. We have tried to make
as many of the events that we can. The cruises have been tons of fun. We also
hope that next year we'll be taking our Golden Retrievers on some of the cruises.
Needless to say we are enjoying Goldie a lot, but the best of the best is
the friendships we have made along the way!!! What a great group of people
in the PT world!!! We have met some great people in the PTCSV and others as
well from other clubs".
