Congratulations to Pat & Dale Nicholson of San Jose, CA for being voted PTCSV Cruiser of the Month for January 2003.
Our story started a few years back when a fellow busdriver started
to talk about a new car coming out called a PT Cruiser. He started bringing
in all kinds of information about them! Well we were hooked! But at the time
we had just gotten a new Saturn so we figured maybe sometime in the future.
In Jan. of 2001 my brother got a 2001 Black Touring Edition PT from Regal
Dodge in Sunnyvale, and talked about how good he was treated! Well it was
hard driving our busses past Regal everyday seeing all the PT's. By the end
of March our Saturn had started to have alot of problems. We had to take it
again back to have more work done on it. When we went to pick it up Dale said
"since Regal is across the street LET'S GO LOOK". Well about 3 hours
later we drove off the lot with a 2001 Black Limited Edition. In the morning
we had to go back to give them some paperwork. When we pulled into the lot
there sat a RED PT. I asked where was it last night and was told that it had
been on hold for someone else but they didn't show up. I asked if we could
trade and was told that since the paperwork hadn't been completed we could.
That is how we got 1HOTCRZ!!! After we had the car a few months a guy started
dropping by to ask about how we liked the car he said he wanted to get one!
Then one day at the gas station the same guy came up to Dale and said he got
one. Boy you talk about a happy camper!
A few month later he came by our house and said he had joined a PT Cruiser
club and that we should join. He left a card with me and it said PTCSV, so
I got on line and joined up! I guess you can say the rest is history!
By the way the guy that gave us the card was George Frausto!! All we can say
is Thank You George!
One small note our fellow busdriver didn't get one after all!
